McMillerMANDEVILLE, LA - Graveside services celebrating the life of Francis E. Ford, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Centuries Memorial Park,Shreveport, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Billy Pierce. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Frank was born on October 25, 1920 and passed away on July 4, 2011. Mr. Ford was a native of Leesville, LA. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served multiple tours in the U.S. and around the world before retiring at Barksdale AFB in Bossier City, Louisiana in 1961. After retiring he went on to work as an Electrician at the Ordnance plant. Left to cherish beautiful memories of Frank are his wife of 46 years, Marie Cooper Ford; one son, Daniel Ford; one stepdaughter, Eloise Kuntz; sister, Pauline Dreher, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous family and friends in Louisiana and East Texas. After retiring, Mr. Ford spent the rest of his years living in Shreveport and Bossier. He enjoyed spending time at his camp on Toledo Bend where he and his wife were avid fishermen. Mr. Ford loved fishing with family and friends over the years. Mr. Ford was well known and blessed with countless friends and he will be dearly missed.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to St. Tammany Parish Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
