Carl Homer Tugel, only son of the later Homer and Frances Bower Tugel, passed away March 9, 1970 at his home in Corning, Iowa at the age of 54 years, 4 months, and 8 days.
He was married to Freda Antisdel June 24, 1943. To this union two sons were born, Terry of Ankeny, Iowa and Jerry at home.
Carl was born in Farmer, South Dakota and at the age of two years became a resident of Adams county, where he spent most of his life, with the exception of two years which were spent in the armed forces serving overseas.
He was empoyed at the Farmers Co-op until September 1967, when due to a sudden illnes, was forced to retire. For a short period he was a patient of the Northgate Manor Nursing Home. In November 1966, he was taken home, where he was cared for by his faithful and loving wife, Freda, who was his constant companion.
He is survived by his widow, Freda, two sons, Terry and wife Carolyn and two grandchildren, Tammy and Chris of Ankeny; Jerry at home, and his fiance Vickie Brown, his mother-in-law, Lillie Antisdel, a brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Mae Antisdel, one nephew, Larry Antisdel, and wife Judy, one niece Nancy Jo Antisdel.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Leon Antisdel.
Funeral services were held at the Roland Funeral Home in Coring, Iowa, March 11 at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Joe Cook. Intement in Carl Cemetery.
