Ernest Cross Rites Tuesday
Mr. Ernest R. Cross, 85, died Friday, Dec. 20 at Yavapai Community Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1889, at Hyde Park, Vermont and moved to Arizona in 1968 from that state.
He had worked for the Boston Maine Railroad for 45 years as a roadmaster and was a groundskeeper for Crown Point Country Club at Springfield Vt. for five years.
Mr. Cross was a member of the Moose Lodge at Springfield.
Survivors include: his widow, Beatrice of Prescott; a son, Marshall B. of Ocala, Fla.; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Lucius, Mrs. Shirley Preston and Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, all of Springfield and Mrs. Jeanette Howe of Chester, Vt.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ellen M. Baker of El Monte, Calif., 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 24, with the Rev. Floyd Breeding officiating.
There will be no visitation. Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
