OWEN Katherine "Kella" Ackerman. 87, formerly of Dorchester, died at 2:42 p.m. Sunday Continental Manor Nursing IIome Abbolsford. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednsday at Maurina Funeral Home Owen, with the Rev. Dale Seffrood officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, town of Hoiway. Pallbearers will be Keith Gaykin, Ronald Gosse, Kenneth Gayken, Colin Stecker, Todd Cerven and George Smith. Visitation will be after 6 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home. - She was bom Sept 30, 1905, ul Curtiss, to the late Christ and MattiS Gilbcitson. She was married tqr Archie Ackerman Nov. 1, 1923, in Owen, and he died Dec. 29, 1979. She and her husband farmed in the town of Hoard until 1964 and continued to live on the farm until her husband's death. She moved to Dorchester in 1982 and had been a resident of the nursing home since August 1988. - She was a former member of the-Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Abbolsford.- Survivors include three daughters; Mrs. Victor (Benice) Gossc of Dorchester, Janet Steckcr of Ashland and Betty Smith of Superior; one sister, Martha Harmel of Marshfield; one brother, Halver Gilbertson of San Gabriel, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by five brothers and two grandchildren.
