Mary Lula Weekes married Porter K. Lindsey in 1900. The couple moved to Abilene in 1919 from Ranger, Texas. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Lindsey, 91, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and College Steet Church of Christ.

Survived by one foster son - Caleb DeShazo; two brothers - Guy Weekes and Roy Weekes; two sisters - Mrs. W.W. Henderson and Margaret Bead.
