He was born near Middletown, Aug 4, 1889, a son of the late John E and Amanda Gladhill Wiles.
Surviving are one son, Franklin T Wiles, Rt. 3, Frederick; two grandchildren, Carlton C. Wiles, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Constance L McKercher, Odenton; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. WIles was engaged in farming in the New Market area for may years. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown.
The family will receive friends at the Smith, Fadeley, Kenney & Basford Funeral Home (formerly Etchinson's), 106 E. Church St., from 7-9 p.m., Sunday, June 20. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 10 a.m., Monday, Jun 21. The Rev. Emmanuel J. Hoover, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, Middletown, will officiate. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown.
