Lois H. Blatt, 97, died July 5, 2011. Graveside services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday July 8, 2011 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, Mo. Visitation will be from 6-8P.M. Thursday July 7, 2011 at D.W. Newcomers Sons Noland Road Chapel, Independence, Mo.
Lois was born on November 14, 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pa to Franklin and Alice Hague. She participated in ballroom dancing, traveling the world, and loved to read. Lois was as a Red Cross volunteer for the V.A. hospital starting in 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Blatt, and daughter Nancy Ruth Marshall. Survivors include her son George Blatt and wife Marci of San Antonio, Texas, daughter Barbara Ann Casey of Kansas City, Mo, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
