Louis O. Turley 1911 ~ 2007 Louis O. Turley, age 96, resident of the Veterans Administration Nursing Home, Salt Lake City, died May 26, 2007, at the Nursing Home from natural causes incident to age. Born April 26, 1911 in Colonia Juarez, Mexico to Edward Franklin Turley and Annie F. Martineau. Married Emma Hawkins in Logan in 1935, later divorced. Married Hazel Nash Berrett in 1984 in St. George. She preceded Louis in death in 2001. Louis served faithfully in the LDS Church in many positions. He received his B.A. in Church History and Doctrine from BYU and was a lifelong learner of all subjects. He served 10 years in the Idaho Falls Temple and 11 years in the Mesa Temple. He was proud of his military service and served as a Captain in World War II. He is survived by five daughters, one stepson and 46 grandchildren: Karen (Jack) McMillan, Sandra (Ted) Evans, Lynn (Roger) Smith, Susan Anne (Pat) Fleming, Mary Jean (Sim) Lyons, and Hal (Paula) Berrett. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the American Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork. Ted Evans will officiate. The family wishes to thank the kind and professional staff at the Veterans Administration Nursing Home for their loving care of our father.
