He was preceded in death by his grandson Justin; His two sisters, Rubenstine and Lavonne; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Vergil and Roetta Peavley Payne.
He served in the US Army for 26 years and retired in 1984 as a Sgt. First Class.
He was a member of Rivers of Living Water Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Payne Click of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Three sons, Kenny J. Click and wife, Judy of Fayetteville, North Carolin; Steven M. Click and wife, Trina of Hoover, Alabama; and Todd E. Click of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina. Two grandchildren, Ashley Click and Allison Click. One brother, Richard G. Click and wife, Alieen of Wabash, Indiana. His sister-in-law: Janice Shepherd and husband, Don of Bimble; and many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday, July 7, 2011 at Rivers of Living Water Church of God in Fayetteville, with Pastor Paul Keeter and Reverend Johnny Rivera officiating, directed by Crumpler Funeral Home of Raeford, North Carolina with visitation starting at 5:30 P.M. until the funeral hour of 7:00 P.M. Visitation in Barbourville will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Hopper Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 4:30 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Brafford Cemetery at Gray with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating.
