Born March 10, 1922, in Truittsburg, Redbank Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late Albert J. and Etta E. LaVan Dean.
In early years, Bernice was a member of the Truittsburg Evangelical Church.
She later attended the Faith Church of the Nazarene.
She was considered the family genealogy expert and loved people, her faith and hymn sing.
Bernice was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Cora Brocious, Hazel Pence, and Miriam Crafton; five brothers: Vilas, Theodore, Judson, Walter, and Ernest Dean and one infant sibling.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Interment will take place at the Salem Cemetery at Frogtown.
