She was a lifelong member of the Reformed Church at Cavetown, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Arnold C. Burkhart, near Smithsburg; Mrs. Freda Pieffer, Waynesboro; William V Shoop, near Smithsburg; Charles R. Philadelphia; Carrie Belle, Jeannette and Rachel, Ernest, Calvin and Edgar, at home; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry E. Beard, Cavetown, and Hugh R. Beard, Smithsburg.
Funeral Monday afternoon, meeting at the house at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. Stewart Hartman officiating. Burial in Smithsburg cemetery.
