Mrs. Bessie F. Wiles, 70, wife of M. Luther Wiles, died at her home, 650 N. Mulberry street, Hagerstown, Saturday evening, after a lingering illness. She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Magdalene Kinna Gladhill of Harmony. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Hagerstown and an active member of the Ladies' Bible Class of that church school.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ralph S. Tagg, Hagerstown; Mrs. Lynn B. Mowers, Shippensburg, Pa.; two sons, Wilbur W. and Merhl L. both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Mrs. William Moore and Mrs. McClure Haupt, both of this city; four brothers, David L. Gladhill, Middletown; M. Otho Gladhill, Harmony; S. Jesse Gladhill, near Frederick, and Alva N. Gladhill, Jefferson.
The body is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tagg, 819 Irvin avenue, Hagerstown, where friends may call until moved to the funeral home in Middletown on Tuesday for services at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Dr. Hamm and Rev. Dr. J. Edward Harms will officiate. Interment will be in the Middletown Lutheran cemetery. The Gladhill Co., funeral directors.
