Velma R. "Sandy" Keller, 62, 4 Lambs Lane, Jonestown, died Thursday, November 1, 2007, in the Lebanon Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of John R. Keller. She was born in Lebanon on August 17, 1945, daughter of the late Morris J. and Verna V. Peffley Hower. She was a quality control inspector at Lebanon Packaging Corp. for 20 years. She was a member of Lickdale Trinity United Methodist Church, AARP, North Lebanon Senior Center, R Field and Stream, Perseverance Fire Co., Jonestown, and has volunteered at the Renova Center. Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Denise, wife of Carl Gerber, Cleona; grandsons, James Hower, Cleona, Jordon Gerber, Cleona; sisters, Ruby, wife of Norman Harman, Jonestown, Diane Boe, Myerstown, Gail, wife of Roy Craig, Lebanon; brothers, Brock Hower, California, Dean, husband of Linda Hower, Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. Lickdale United Methodist Church where a viewing will be held Monday beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her church at 98 Fisher Ave., Jonestown 17038. The Rohland Funeral Home Inc., Lebanon, is in charge of arrangements.
