Elmer G. (Daubber) Kleindienst, 76, of Mexico, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, at his home. He was born July 8, 1929, in Blufton, to the late William and Grace Ann Ellis Kleindienst. On Feb. 23, 1952, he married Dorothy Atterberry. She survives of the home. Other survivors include five children, Mary Maddox, Harrison Blackburn, Starlett Ritter, Gary Pilger, and Tammie Denio; eight grandchildren, Darrell Wood, Mark Wood, matt Pilger, Michelle Humphrey, Autumn Angel, Misty Duchesne, Travis Ritter, and Erin Ritter, a brother Jess Kleindienst; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and a sister. Mr. Kleindienst was employed at National Refractories in Mexico for 44 years. He was a member of Love Street Christian Church. Services were Saturday at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico with Raymond Iman officiating. burial was in Benskin-Atterberry Cemetery in Portland. visitation was Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Shiloh Children's Home or to the Community Hospice.
