NORTHCUTT, DOYLE T., Passed away May 4, 2006, at his home in Duncanville TX. He was born August 8, 1921 in Lufkin, TX and moved to Rains County as a young child. His occupation was many years in structural steel. He enjoyed his retirement years golfing with his buddies. Doyle was a World War II veteran in the 843rd Engineer Battalion in the European Theatre. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Maude Northcutt; two sisters, Ruby Barker & Bonnie Cochran; 3 brothers, Alvin, Ferris, & Travis (Tab) Northcutt. Doyle is survived by his wife, Lois Barker Northcutt; daughter, Vicky Barber; son-in-law, Robert Barber; step-grandson Brad Barber; one sister, Trudy Flanagan; and many nieces, nephews, and devoted friends. He was a very devoted husband & father and will be missed by all who knew him. Doyle was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Scottish Rite, and a Shriner. Services & interment will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2006 at the Smyrna Community Church & Cemetery in Emory, TX. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
