Richard Alvin Trujillo, a long-time resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, went home to the Lord on February 5, 2004. He retired the golf greens for the skies of Heaven. Richard was born in San Jose, New Mexico, on February 7, 1938, the son of Carmencita "Carmen" (Abeytia) and Lamberto D Trujillo.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Leonard Trujillo.
He is survived by his family including his loving wife, Katherine, of 44 years; brothers, Faustin "Tiny" Trujillo and wife Consuelo and family; and Charles Valeno and Charlotte and family; his loving children: Rick Trujillo and wife Josephine, grandchildren Leo and Tiffany; daughter, Diane Hinshaw and husband Robert; granddaughters, Katherine and C.J.; his brothers-in-law, Jose Maestas and Dalia and children Julianita, Leo, and Jose; Benny Maestas and children Irene, Larry, Janie, Brandy -and their families, Mike Maestas, Martin and Mary Maestas and children Teddy, Juanita and the late Victor and their children; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Maestas and children Christie and Teddy and their families; Helen Gutierrez and John and children Martin, Raul, Daniel, Jonathan, and Estrella and their families; the family of the late Lucy Maestas, George, Jeanne, Fred, Christine, Tony and their families; numerous nieces and nephews loved him like a father and considered him the "community Dad". Last but not least his puppy dogs, Cookie and Baron.
