Alvin C Holmes 78, Beaver Crossing, retired railroad man died Monday at his home. Mr. Holmes was railroad agent at Wisner, Stuart, Kennard and Beaver Crossing, Nebr., retiring at Beaver Crossing a few years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca; three sons, Robert of Ames, IA, Bernard of Denver and Roland of Snyder, Nebr.; three daughters, Mrs. Gifford French of Fairmont, Mrs. Harry Anderson of York, and Mrs. Edward Anderson of Friend and 26 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m. at the Beaver Crossing Methodist church, Rev. W. Price officiating. Burial will be in the Beaver Crossing cemetery.
