"Alice E. (Hathaway) Wilson, age 88 of Fowler, IN, died at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Green Hill Manor in Fowler, IN.
Alice was born on February 8, 1922 in Rossville, IL. She was the daughter of Donald D. and Dorothy Mabel (Strong) Hathaway. She graduated from Alvin High School in 1942. She married Ira E. Wilson in LaPorte, IN on August 1, 1942. They moved to Warren County in 1942, living near Independence and then moved to Williamsport in 1957. Ira preceded her in death in 1991.
Alice was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church, Williamsport Senior Center and the Covington Senior Center. She was self-employed in home nursing care. She enjoyed horseback riding, sewing, gardening and making jelly.
Surviving are, 1 daughter, Alice June Odle (husband: William) of Boswell, IN ; 3 sons, Ira Lee Wilson and Rex D. Wilson (wife: Rhonda) both of Williamsport, and Jack E. Wilson (wife: Diana) of Pine Village, IN; 1 sister, Barbara Sullivan of Savannah, GA; 1 son-in-law, Bill Campbell of KY; 14 grandchildren; 26 Great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Deloris Jean Miles and Diane Campbell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport. Rev. Charles B. Anderson will be officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport." (Obituary provided by MillerWeston)
