Anthony was born in Austriaca, Poland; the son of Jacob Kunzie and Clara Graf.

He married Frances Kwiatkowski at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in St. Louis on August 6, 1901.

Tony was the beloved father of Gertrude A., Margaret C., and Joseph Roy.
