Norman Pentecost Rites
Held Wednesday

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. G. Ney in the Dudgeon Funeral home Wednesday for Norman Pentecost, 73, retired farmer, who passed away at 10:00 a.m. Sunday at his home near Wapello.
Pallbearers were Paul Schafer, Raymond Schneider, Russell Bretz, Walter Morris, Curtiss Wagg and Oran Hayes. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Raymond Schneider and Mrs. Walter Morris. Music was by Mr. and Mrs. Warren Wiederriecht.
The deceased, son of William and Harriett Pentecost, was born March 5, 1872, in Henderson county, Ill. He has been a resident of this community for 16 years, having come here from Kansas. He was a member of the United Brethren church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Bertha May Caparoon, five children, Charles of Burlington; Leroy, of Wapello; Floyd, of Crawfordsville; Monte of Wheatland; and Cpl. Riley Pentecost of the U.S. Army stationed at Cheyenne, Wyo. who arrived in Wapello Monday night on emergency furlough to attend his father's funeral. Also surviving are four grandchildren. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.
