Ruby Naomi Cale, 85, of Bruceton Mills, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Madison Nursing and Rehab Center, Morgantown. She was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Markleysburg, PA, the daughter of the late Ira Gilbert and May Belle (Shrock) Bird. Ruby was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, a housewife, and was known for her kindness and giving to others. She loved her husband, son, grandchildren, and was very close to her 15 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son and his wife, Clyde C. Cale, Jr., and Tatjana N. Cale of Morgantown; two grandchildren, Camilla C. McMillen and Jason B. Cale of Bruceton Mills; three great-grandchildren, Joshua D. McMillen, Gavin N. McMillen and Chloe B. Cale of Bruceton Mills; two sisters, Cleo (Audrey) Bates of Miamisburg, OH and Donna J. Hill of Centerville, OH; and two brothers, Wendell Bird of Uniontown, PA and Ronald R. Bird and wife Janet of Markleysburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde C. Cale, Sr., Nov. 27, 2001, and the following sisters and brothers: Rozena Lint, Virginia Bird, Garnet Jeffries, Pauline Bird, Ruth Fieldson, Wanda Huey, Alvin E. "John", Donald, Paul and Wade Bird. Family and friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, and on Monday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service in the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Morgan, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Sugar Valley Cemetery, Bruceton Mills. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice Care Corp. [unknown source]
