WESTBROOK -- Beverly J. Coe, born in Westbrook, Oct. 29, 1929, the daughter of Lawrence Sr. and Hazel Libby Wescott. She lived in Westbrook until 1974, when she married George Coe and moved to Texas, returning to Maine in 1998.
She had been employed by Sebago Moc for 25 years. Beverly had many friends she made friends wherever she went. She was always the entertainer, she loved to sing and dance, she would sing at functions at the senior center, where she lived.
In her early years, she was a roller skating champion. She enjoyed helping to raise money for worthy causes. She was an avid bingo player and went with her friends as often as she could, before the onset of health problems. Her love of life and happy contagious personality will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband George; and a brother, Mayor Fred Wescott. She is survived by two children, Philip C. and wife Diana Pomelow, and June C. and husband Steven Needham, both of Standish; a brother Lawrence J. Jr. and wife Ellen Wescott of Windham; sister-in-law, Annette Wescott of Westbrook; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook.
