She was the daughter of Rachel Felder (Posey) and Elliott Posey. She married Prentiss Perry Wooten on December 11, 1916 and lived at Lucien, MS. They had 6 children. James "Vernon" Wooten, George Wooten, Paul Wooten, Margie Wooten, Thelma Wooten and Mamie Dell Wooten. She is a descendant of Captain Henry Felder of the Revolutionary War. A movie was made about him. Her ancestors were from Switzerland and France.
She was a Christian and enjoyed sewing, gardening, putting up jams and working on the farm at Lucien.
