Francis B. O'Neill, 92, of Johnson City, went to be with his Lord Saturday morning, August 7, 2004 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his wives, Mary and Bev. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Tony Zembek, Endicott, Rosemary and Dick Kollar, Rockville, Md., Debbie and Wayne Gittoes, Friendsville, Pa., Colleen O'Neill, Mount Upton, N.Y.; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Trish O'Neill, Endicott; seven grandchildren, Tim and Todd Zembek, Sean Zembek and his wife, Melissa, Rene Normand and her husband, Guy, Ellen Saunders and her husband, Joe, Jared O'Neill and fiancee Val Hollister, Julie Gittoes and her husband, Mike; four great-grandchildren, Jessica Meehan, Kaitlyn Zembek, Mackenzie Normand and Cameron Gittoes; his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Jane O'Neill, Memphis, Tenn.; his sister-in-law, Molly O'Neil, New Albany, Pa.; his former daughter-in-law, Linda O'Neill, Endicott; stepdaughter, Anne Cornell, Johnson City; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Johnson City, for many years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army, and was a member of V.F.W. Post 2332, Johnson City. He was a member of the Last Man's Club. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and tending his garden.

Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Monday at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Blessed Sacrament Church Memorial Fund, 13 Cenacle Plaza, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790, in Francis B. O'Neill's memory.
