Centertown Woman Dies In Convalescent Home
Mrs. Charlotte Tichenor Jones, 76, of Centertown, died at 5 a.m., Sunday, December 11, at the Kentucky Convalescent Home, Owensboro, where she had resided a few weeks. She had been ill for several years.
Born in Ohio county, September 8, 1884, the daughter of James P. and Nettie Hocker Tichenor, she was a member of the West Point Baptist church. Mrs. Jones was married in June, 1906 to Vernon C. Jones, who survives.
Surviving besides her husband are three daughters, Mrs. Noel Brown, and Mrs. Grace Ashby, both of Centertown, and Mrs. Claudis James, of Equality; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, in the Walton's Creek Baptist church, with the Rev. E.E. Spickard, of Owensboro, and the Rev. Dewey Stubblefield, pastor of Walton's Creek Baptist Church.
