Letha Grace Carrick, 99, of Houghton Lake passed away Thursday October 7, 2010 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Letha was born on February 28, 1911 in Houghton Lake to the late Nathan and Pearl (Gardner) Carrick. Letha owned and operated four different restaurants in the Houghton Lake area all being well known as Letha's Charcoal Kitchens. She was a member of Community of Christ Church, Houghton Lake. Surviving Mrs. Carrick are three sons, William(Janice) Carrick of California, Lyle(Sharon) Carrick of Houghton Lake, and Dean(Gail) Carrick of Houghton Lake; seven grandchildren, Raga, Dana, Kristy, Brian, Mark, Nancy, and Darren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Letha was preceded in death by her grandson, Todd Carrick; son, Elbert Duane "Pete" Carrick; and four brothers, Lynn, Guy, Wayne, and Neil. Funeral services for Mrs. Letha Grace Carrick will be conducted 1:00PM Saturday October 9, 2010 at Community of Christ Church, Stone School Road, Houghton Lake, with Elder Robert Ball officiating. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00AM until the service time at 1:00PM Saturday October 9, 2010.
