He is survived by his daughter, Nancy Gilbert and his son-in-law, Gary Gilbert, of Pflugerville, Texas; and his grandchildren, Linda Gilbert of Round Rock, Texas, and Grant Gilbert also of Pflugerville, Texas. He is also survived by ten nieces and one nephew.
Clyde served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during WWII and retired from Manzano Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico after over 30 years of service in the fire department.
Clyde enjoyed traveling with family, the CB radio, woodworking, jewelry making, square dancing, and activities at various Albuquerque senior citizen centers. Clyde lived in Albuquerque until 1995, when he moved to be with his daughter and her family.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
