BEST, RAYMOND E. "RAINBOW", age 91, of Sweetwater, passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2011. He was a member of Glenlock Baptist Church of Sweetwater, Retired from the Sweetwater Fire Department, and a long time employee of Bryant Boat in Sweetwater. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. Preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Kate Best, grandson: Brian Keith Best, sisters: Margaret, Dorilen, Jean, brothers: Carl "Buddy", Ralph, and Bobby. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law: Susie and Larry Denton, of Madisonville, sons and daughters-in-law: Don and Pat Best, of Sweetwater, Richard and Nancy Best, of Sweetwater, grandchildren: Rodney Best, Chris Best, Scott Best, all of Sweetwater, Angelia Donette White, of Murphy, NC., Angelia Pressley, of Etowah, Christie Smallwood, of Tellico Plains, several great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, sister: Dorothy Best, of TX., several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2011, from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater, with the funeral service to follow at 8:00P.M. in Kyker's Chapel with Rev. Don Rockholt, Rev. Samuel Hollingshead, and Rev. Chris Best officiating. Interment 11:00A.M. Friday morning in the Sunset Cemetery in Madisonville, with full military honors provided by the Sweetwater V.F.W. Gold Star Post 5156 and members of the Monroe County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #93.
