Edith Evelyn "Edie" Johnson, of Chama N.M. died Sunday Jan. 6th, 2008 at her home. Born June 19, 1936 in Vernon, IA. Edith was the daughter of Robert E. and Elizabeth A. Jones. On Sept 16,
1968 she married J.C. Johnson in Long Beach, Calif. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson retired from an Indio, Calif.
school district secretarial position. She grew up in the Vernon area and attended school in Farmington,
She lived in Burlington for a while and a short time in Ohio and Des Moines before moving to California.

Survivors include three sons, Gregory Johnson of Effington, Kan. Christoper Johnson of Beale Air Force Base, Calif. and Michael Johnson of San Diego, Calif. One stepdaughter, Carolyn Johnson of Smackover, Ark. Eight grandchildren one great grandchild. One brother, John Jones of Donna, Texas. One sister Roberta Logsdon of Des Moines, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband. she was proceded in death by her parents and one half sister.

Gravesdies services for Mrs, Johnson were Jan. 21, in Riverside National Cemetery.
Miller-Jones Mortuary in Moreno Valley, Calif. was in chage of arrangements.
