Eugene E. Smith 82, passed away May 24, 2009. Gene, as he was known to all, is survived by wife, Marty; sister, Janet Crane; children, Gordon, Ann and Ted; and 5 grandchildren.
A long-time resident of Arvada, Gene was recognized as a little league baseball coach and was probably remembered by locals through Sportline, where he once ran the ski shop, repaired baseball gloves and worked for years. Gene was also a teacher for several years in the Adams County School system.
Family services will be at Ft. Logan, with a remembrance reception to follow at the Indian Tree Golf Club in Arvada at 1PM, Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Published in Denver Post from May 28 to May 29, 2009
