Mrs. Jeter died at Hillside Retirement Community on Friday, Aug. 3, 2007. She was 92.
Born in Bassett, Neb., on July 8, 1915, she was the daughter of Louis and Mae (Martin) Fox. After growing up in Nebraska, she moved to Kingsville, Ontario, Canada, where she owned and operated a beauty salon.
She moved to Glendale Calif., in 1942 and went to work as a dental assistant. She moved to Kennewick, Wash., in 1955, marrying Hazen B. "Cy" Jeter there on Dec. 24, 1955. In 1958, she relocated to Torrence, Calif., where she and her husband owned and operated a real estate business. The couple retired in 1972 and moved to McMinnville in 1986.
She was an avid golfer and gourmet cook. She enjoyed time spent with family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Jeter is survived by her son-in-law, David Heil of Glendora, Calif.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001 and a daughter, Joan, in 1972.
