Funeral services for Mr. Floys H. Bonner, Sr., 81, were held Monday, November 18, 1996 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church of God in Goodwill with the Reverend David Sistrunk and Reverend Ed Hauser officiating.
Interment followed in Redwing Cemetery for Mr. Bonner who passed away Friday, November 15 in the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Services were under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Bonner was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God in Goodwill. He was retired after 29 years employment with International Paper Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bonner; two sons, Doyle Ray and Jerry Wayne Bonner; and a great grandson, Adam Muirhead.
Survivors include five daughters, Ottie Lucille (Sally) Muirhead and husband, James, of Florence, MS; Julia Inez Henderson and hus
band, James, of Sandy, UT; Betty Mae Robinson and husband, Rex, of Clinton, MS; Johnnice (Pete) Bonner, of Oak Grove; and Meg Johns and husband, Hilton, of Arlington, TX; three sons, Floyd Bonner and wife, Gloria, of Bastrop; Fred Bonner and wife, Joan, of Florence, MS; Larry Bonner and wife, Sharon, of Oak Grove; two sisters, Louella Sasser and husband, Dallas, of Oak Grove; L.V. Roberts and husband, Gene, of Bastrop; five brothers, Joe Bonner, of Portland, OR; James Wilbur Bonner and wife, Julia, of Bastrop; Owen (Pete) Bonner and wife, Laverne, of Greenville, MS; Huey Bonner and wife, Bessie, of Greenville, MS; W.C. (Nap) Bonner and wife, Glenda of Carmichael, CA; 26 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Robert Muirhead, Dennis Bonner, Stacey Bonner, Michael • Bonner, David Bonner, Kerry Bonner, Rex Robinson Jr. and Tommy Bonner.
Honorary pallbearer was Cody Bonner.
