Clarence M. Cessna

KENTON, Nov. 25 - Clarence M. Cessna, 77, former Kenton mayor and dean of the Hardin-co Bar-assn, was found dead at 7 a.m. Friday in his home by his son and law partner, Dwight C. Cessna. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He had been ill two years.

Mr. Cessna was a director of the Kenton Amusement Co. and the Home Savings and Loan Co. here. He also served as city solicitor and was a leader in Hardin-co Republican circles. Recently, Mr. Cessna was given a 50-year membership pin by the Masonic lodge.

Born June 29, 1872, in Cessna-tp, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zackeus Cessna, were pioneer residents of that township. His wife, Lula Whitmore Cessna, died Nov. 13, 1934.

Surviving besides his son, are a daughter, Mrs. L. N. Lamphere, Corry, Pa., also an attorney; three grandchildren, Miss Patricia Cessna, Kenton; Lloyd and Eric Lamphere, both of Corry; a brother, Joseph F., Kenton; a sister, Mrs. Frank Rush, Dunkirk, several nieces and nephews.

The body is in Schindewolf funeral home, Kenton, pending completion of arrangements.
