FORT WORTH - Kate Adair Bateman, 93, a homemaker, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 1997, at a local nursing home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Stewart will officiate. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Building Fund at Southcliff Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

Kate Adair Bateman was born May 24, 1904, in Graham. She had lived most of her adult life in Fort Worth and Dallas. She was a member of Southcliff Baptist Church at the time of her death. For many years, she was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Mrs. Bateman was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Bateman.

Survivors: Daughters, Kathryn Bates of Dallas and Velma Craft and her husband, Bob, of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
