Mr. Wolf was 61 years old and was born near Chambersburg. He was engaged in farming near Grindstone Hill for a number of years and there married Mary Helman, by whom he had two sons, Lawrence C. Wolf, of this place, and William Wolf near Fayettevllle.
After the death of his first wife he moved to Mont Alto and married Elizabeth Gossard. He worked on the ore banks there for a number of years and about nine years ago came to
Waynesboro. For about four years he was employed in Frick boiler shops and for the past four or five years operated one of the emery wheels in the Geiser shops. He had the respect of all his associates and was an industrious,
hard-working man, when his disease permitted him to engage actively at his trade. A number of years ago he became a member of the
Methodist Episcopal church but had not attended its services recently because of his illness.
One brother, Jacob Wolf, ex-post master at Salem, Greene township, and a brother-in-law, Joseph Gossard, Hamilton avenue, survive him, and his widow and these children: Lawrence C., William, Harvey, Ira, Earl, Effie, Katie and Susan. All except William reside in Waynesboro.
Funeral, Wednesday. Services at 1 p.m. at house, conducted by Rev. J. R. Hutchison. Interment at Price's church graveyard.
