George Vinton Cecil, 68, of 1100 E. Eighth St., a former macine operator at Durham Manufacturing Corporation, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday at Ball Hospital after an illness of 1 1/2 years.
Born in Perry Township, Mr. Cecil moved to Muncie 50 years ago. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Josephine; six sons, Kenneth E., Robert L., Wayne R., and Francis R., all of Muncie, and Harold V. and Orris L. of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Heatherly of Muncie; seven grandchildren, and two sisters, Miss Ethel Cecil of Gaston and Mrs. Blanch Hefferline of New Jersey.
Funeral arrangements will be made at the Parson Mortuary.
