Cornelius John Peacock was born May 2, 1889 the first son of William Peacock and Alice O'Brien. Cornelius was also my grandfather. He had three younger brothers. William, Joseph and George. Cornelius graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska on June 18, 1909. He later worked for a newspaper in Council Bluffs, Iowa until moving to California around 1913 or 1914. Cornelius married my grandmother Lucy Lorenzini on March 7, 1917 in Huntington Park, California. They had six children during their marriage. They lived in Santa Monica, Venice, Mar Vista, and West Los Angeles.
