Victoria Hickman Lamb Morrow (b. 31 May 1846; d. 4 June 1921).

(Re-typed from the original in full from the Frankston (TX) Citizen, June 17, 1921 by Richard W Boyd, July 2, 2012)
Death of Grandma Morrow.

Death came on Saturday morning, June 4, and laid his hand on one of the most beloved of Frankston's aged mothers, Mrs. Victoria Morrow.

She had been ill for some weeks and though it was evident her condition was fatal, her friends and loved ones could not reconcile themselves to her going.

Mrs. Morrow's life is one which deserves beautiful tribute.

She had been a faithful Christian for fifty-seven years.

Her influence in the homes she made, had helped to shape the lives of several into beautiful and useful men and women.

She had a sunny disposition. She was a great lover of flowers and of nature and above all she held dear the love of her friends.

Victoria Hickman, the daughter of Ben and Sallie Hickman was born near Franklin, Ala., May 31, 1846.

She became a member of the Baptist church at the age of 18 years.

In January 1866 she was married to John Lamb. The young couple came to Texas and located in the old Kickapoo community. Nine children were born to this union, only six of whom survive.

Mrs. Joel Baker of Athens, Mesdames Vick Spencer, Walter Cook, D. W. Cook, Mrs. Tobe Lamb of Frankston, and Frank Lamb of Waynoka, Oklahoma.

On May 26, 1904, Frankston, Texas, at the home of Mrs. Vick Spencer, Mrs. Lamb was married to Tom Morrow. Since his death, October 10, 1910, she has made her home, with her children, most of the time with Mrs. Spencer.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church Sunday 2: p.m., by Rev. A. L. Connor. He read from the 90th Division of the Psalms and his tribute to the memory of one whom he often visited, and had learned to love, was sweet. The entire community would miss her" he said. "Tokens, spoken by word, by action, and by flowers, attest the great esteem in which she was held."

Songs sweetly rendered by the choir were:
"Beautiful Isle of Somewhere"
"The Home Over There"
"Asleep in Jesus"
"Sweet Bye and Bye"

Floral offerings were many and beautiful. A piece each from the Ladies Aid, Eastern Star societies.

Interment was made at Old Bethel cemetery, a large crowd present.

Out of town relatives present for the funeral were: Mrs. Joel Baker, a daughter, and family of Athens; Frank Lamb, a son, and family of Waynoka, Okla., Mrs. M. J. Austin, a
granddaughter and family of Palestine, Mrs. A. L. Rogers, a granddaughter of Mart, and Mr. Tom Baker, a grandson, of Temple. Stepchildren: Mrs. Rawson of Palestine, John
Copeland, Mrs. Ida Copeland and daughter, and Andrew Overton of Brushy Creek.
