Charles Alfred Rose, 72, of 1800 Mabry, died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Kotch Funeral Chapel with Rev. Noel Guice officiating. Burial will be in Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff.
Mr. Rose was born in Kansas. He had lived in Waco the past 65 years. He was a retired painter. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Painters Local No. 673, American Legion Post No. 121 and I.O.O.F. No. 137. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Yoland Wixson of Freeport; one son, Charles Rose of Denver, Colorado; his mother Mrs. J. F. Rose of 1800 Mabry; one sister, Mrs. Lucille Roberts of 1800 Mabry, one brother, W. J. Elliott of Angleton; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
