Frederick William Woodhouse was born at Rossie, Iowa, to George and Elizabeth (Denny) Woodhouse on June 19, 1917. They moved to the Linn Grove, Iowa area when Fred was very young. He attended school at Linn Grove.

On August 30,1961 he was united in marriage to Margaret Louise Hiatt at Spencer, Iowa. To this union one daughter was born, Mary Margaret. Fred was baptized at the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove and was a member for many years.

He farmed and raised cattle for many years and drove trucks for Oscar Sunblad for 25 years and Merlin Landsness for 20 years. He retired from fanning in 1990. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one sister, Amelia Ann Woodhouse.

Fred has been a loyal friend to many people and will be missed by all.

Frederick Woodhouse, 79, Linn Grove, died Friday, July 26, 1996 at Kansas City, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 29, at Riverside Presbyterian Church, Linn Grove with the Rev. Terry Nerem officiating.

Casket Bearers were Arnie Hicks, Merlin Landsness, Bernard Nelson, Terry Spanier, Roger Huntress, Wilmer Lundt, Richard Nelson and Jake Warkentin.

Burial will be at Barnes Township Cemetery, Linn Grove with Sliefert Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Frederick William Woodhouse was born June 19, 1917 to George and Elizabeth (Denny) Woodhouse at Rossie. The family moved to the Linn Grove area when he was very young. He attended school at Linn Grove.

On August 30, 1961, he married Margaret Louise Hiatt at Spencer.

He farmed, raise cattle for many years and drove trucks for Oscar Sundblad for 25 years and Melin Landsness for 20 years.

He retired from farming in 1990. He was a member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Linn Grove for many Years.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Margaret Helmick and her husband, Rick of Overland Park, Kansas; one grandson; and one sister, Fern Holland and her husband, LeRoy of Laurens.
