A. R. GARVIN
A. R. Garvin, an aged resident, who has made his home here for many years, died June 11th. He took a very active part in the Memorial services but the following Monday went to Burlington hospital where he underwent an operation and never rallied. The funeral was at his home, Rev. Pierce, assisted by Rev. Peterson, officiating. The body was placed in the family lot in North Craftsbury cemetery beside his wife, who died about a year ago. He was one of the few survivors of the G. A. R.

His daughter, Maude Alice Davis, has kept house for him since Mrs. Garvin's death. We have lost another good man from our town.

Among those from away to attend Mr. Garvin's funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Guy Garvin of St. Johnsbury, Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Barber of West Glover, Clyde Barber of Camp Devens and Mr. Garvin's daughter, Mrs. Gilbert from Massachusetts.
