Howard N. Ellis
RENSSELAER -- Howard N. Ellis, 61, of 631 Fleming Blvd., died at 11 p.m. Sunday in Cumberland Medical Center at Crossville, Tenn.
Born at Indianapolis, he came to Rensselaer 25 years ago from Fowler. In 1941 he married at Indianapolis to Emma Mae Henson, who survives.
Mr. Ellis was an accountant and formerly owned Ellis and Fortune Co. before organizing Computer Data Center in Rensselaer.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Ellis was a member of United Methodist Church of Rensselaer, Methodist Men of Rensselaer and Great Lakes Association of Computer Accountants.
He was past president of Rensselaer Rotary Club and also was a member of Prairie Lodge F&AM 125 and Murat Shrine Temple of Indianapolis.
Surviving with the widow are five daughters: Mrs. Michael (Connie) Conway of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Richard (Linda) Humphrey of Brookston, Mrs. Charles (Wynema) Ostman of Huntertown, Ind., Miss Rita L. Ellis of Greeley, Colo., and Miss Karen N. Ellis, at home; his mother, Mrs. Zella F. Pruett Ellis; and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Maxine) Arlic of Rensselaer and Mrs. Gary (Romona) Richards of Indianapolis.
