Funeral services for Mr. Hairold Junior Strode, 46, of Celina, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, from Macedonia Baptist Church with Paul Strong officiating. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery with Upton Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Strode died Saturday, Nov. 10 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a firefighter for the Tennessee Department of Forestry.
Born Nov. 30, 1954, in Clay County, he was the son of Lulie May (Trobaugh) Strode of Celina and the late Floyd Gilbert Strode.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Vickie Strode, Celina; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Gilbert and Amanda Deann Strode, Moss, and Joseph Lee Strode, Celina; a brother, Charles Mitchell Strode, Celina; a half brother, David Strode, Tomp-kinsville, KY; and three grandchildren, Logan Gilbert Strode, Rebecca DeAnn Strode, and Caitlin DeAnn Strode.
∼Harold was a firefighter and killed while fighting a forest fire.
