Obituary: Barron Farmer Dies Of Injuries. Was Holding Lantern for Auto Without Headlights. Jacob R. Brown, 67, Barron Township farmer died last Saturday at the Barron Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident Sept. 27. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the home. Burial was in Wayside cemetery. Mr. Brown, who lives a mile west of Barron, was walking to town Sept. 27. On his way home he was picked up by Arthur Bagley, a neighboring farmer. A short distance out of the city the car lights went out. Mr. Brown, who had been carrying a lantern, climbed onto the running-board to light the road. The car hit a rough spot on the highway. Mr. Brown was thrown from his precarious position and landed in the ditch. His head struck a rock and he was knocked unconscious. His skull was fractured and his right collar bone injured. Mr. Brown never regained consciousness. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Selma. He had lived in Barron county many years.

Parsonage of this city on Wednesday afternoon.The contracting parties are prominent and popular young people of Clinton.
