Jacob Brand, prominent citizen of Van Buren Township, died at his home near Pikes Peak last Friday morning. He was born in this county, a son of Isaac Brand, and had lived all his life in the county. he was sixty-three years of age. He had been ill for several weeks. Surviving are eight children. Mrs. Brand died several years ago. Funeral services were conducted at the Pikes Peak Church last Saturday by Dr. J.E. DeGrafferelly, of the Nashville Christian Church. Interment was in the Melotte Cemetery. Bond Funeral Sevice in charge.
