Mrs. Catherine (Shea) Sears, widow of Thomas Sears of 739 High street, died early this morning at the Providence hospital after a short illness. She had been a resident of this city for the past 50 years. She was a member of the St. Anne Society, and the Isabella court M. C. O. F. She leaves seven daughters, Mrs Arvid Anderstrom of Springfield, Mrs Howard Thresher of Vermont, Mrs Michael Dent and Mrs Eugene Sullivan both of this city, the Misses Mary, Gertrude and Lillian, all at home; four sons, John, Thomas, William and Edward Sears all of this city; three sisters, Mrs Arthur Hederman and Mrs Joseph Mc Gue both of this city and Mrs Bridget Balfe of Springfield; four brothers Patrick Shea of Chicopee Falls, John Shea of Florence, Cornelius and Maurice of Springfield; 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Dillon funeral parlors.
