Came to Roswell, NM from Corsicana, TX in a covered wagon. Attended Western College, Silver City, NM and taught school in Hillsboro, NM. Met a cavalryman Dewey Hobson Irons and married him in Galesburg, IL, August 12, 1920. Children Stanley Edwin and Dixie Irene Irons. After Dewey was killed in 1927, remarried Aubrey Snedegar and lived in Roswell, NM until death.
