William J. Zikmund, Native of Ord , Dies Unexpectedly at 69
Funeral services for William J. Zikmund, 69, native Ordite who died unexpectedly at his farm home north of Ord Thursday, were held Sunday afternoon at the Ord Methodist Church, the Rev. Richard Atherton officiating.
Burial was in the Ord Cemetery and the Hastings-Pearson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Zikmund was born west of Ord to Vaclav J. and Frances VanCura Zikmund April 15, 1892. He had lived and farmed in Valley county all his life.
He married Lula Albers in 1917 and she died two years later. On May 26, 1923, he married Katherine McNamee at Gering.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, LeRoy and Lores, and a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Williams all of Ord; another daughter, Mrs. Ardis McIntyre of Denver; three brothers, Anton of Nyssa, Ore., Joe of Comstock and Emil L. of Ord; four sisters, Mary Dworak, Lillian Novotny, Minnie Thomsen and Helen Meese, all of Ord; and three grandchildren.
