Joan E. Gilmore, of Toms River, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Care One at Wall, Wall. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived San Francisco, Calif., Short Hills and Cape Coral, Fla. before moving to Toms River in 1998. Joan loved sharing time and laughter with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Robert W. and wife Nancy of Pinebrook; two daughters, Maryann E. Gilmore and husband Ted Bartkoski of Park City, Utah, and Dianne G. Stahl and husband John of Doylestown, Pa.; and and three grandchildren, John H. Stahl and wife Melissa, Brian P. Stahl and wife Lauren, and Michael C. Stahl.
A memorial Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at St. Luke R.C. Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of your choice. Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. www.silvertonmemorial.com.
