Mrs. Chevalier was a lifetime resident of Biloxi, MS. She also was a nurse at The Biloxi Hospital, Howard Memorial Hospital and a nurse for Dr. Vito Canizaro, Dr. Edwin Chanton and Dr. Max Curry. She was a member of Our Lady Of Fatima and Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Biloxi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard R. Chevalier Sr.; her parents, Henry Joseph and Margueritte Thensted Agregaard; four brothers, Henry Agregaard Jr., Roland Agregaard, Edwin Agregaard and Edward Agregaard; and one sister, Verna A. Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Eva L. Roehm and her husband Frank, Roberta Lechner and her husband Danny, Margueritte (DeDe) Schneider, and Paulette Strayham and her husband Stephen, all of Biloxi, MS; one son, Bernard R. Chevalier and his wife Dannie, of Gulfport; one sister, Iris Agregaard Ladner of Slidell, LA.; one brother, Joseph Agregaard of Biloxi, MS.; 12 grandchildren, Roberta Lechner Jordan, Mary Chevalier Mozingo, Danette Lechner Hennig, Margaret Roehm Olsen, Kathy Roehm Smith, Dawn Lechner Barr, Kevin Chevalier, Brian Chevalier, Rebecca Schneider, Stephanie Strayham, Jason Strayham, and Justin Strayham; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is Sunday, December 29, 2002, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi with Rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2002 at Our Lady Of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi where friends may visit a half hour before service time. Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
